Behavioural Advice

We are now able to offer advice on training and behaviour to all new greyhound owners.

Our resident behavioural advisor, Eva Aldea, works as a volunteer kennel hand at Croftview once a week, getting to know all the greyhounds personally. She is studying Applied Behavioural Science and Welfare at Hadlow College and writes on canine behaviour and on the experience of owning two retired racing greyhounds herself. She is an approved member of Pets As Therapy, and visits a local nursing home regularly with her dogs.

Eva can help with settling in, training (including recall!), problem behaviours, diet and care, and minor health issues.

Eva is based in South East London and can work with you and your dog in your home within a reasonable distance, subject to availability.

Currently we offer a FREE initial 2-hour session to all greyhounds adopted from Croftview. Thereafter the cost is £20 per hour.

Non-Croftview customers: First 2-hour session £30 and thereafter £30 per hour.

Please note: due to high fuel prices, there is a small extra charge, depending on distance, for all customers further than 25 miles from SE8.
