Buster and Mary are a ready-made pair if anyone was looking to adopt a couple of Greyhounds. Whilst they’ve only been together since January 2024 they already act like an old married couple. Every morning after breakfast Mary will give Buster a bath making sure he’s nice and clean for the day ahead. They have both recently been to the monthly walk at Riverside, Gillingham and both behaved well. Both a bit interested in other breeds but nothing that would not be easily solved with some more experience around them and training.
Buster is a quiet 3-year-old fawn boy who most of the time you don’t realise is in the kennel. He is a great lover of food, so this could be used as a great training aid. Buster loves to go out walking and saying hello to new people. His personality is slowly coming out – he's a little bit ditsy, food motivated, slightly clumsy but a total love-bug for some attention.
Mary is a large 3-year-old brindle girl, she’s another ditsy dog (match made in heaven!) but with encouragement and direction she can take a little bit of time but does eventually figure things out. She’s a quiet and unassuming girl in the kennel and sticks close to Buster when out in the paddocks although she is happy to wander away from him if something more interesting takes her attention.
Buster and Mary would make ideal pets homed either as a pair or singularly.
If you can offer a home to Buster or Mary please email us at harvel@greyhoundtrust.org.uk or phone the kennels on 01474 815273
A very small boy who has a lot to say about himself. He is a great little character with bags of personality and is sure to give you lifetime of enjoyment, fun and laughter. A cheeky little lad with lots to offer.
Rusty will need an experienced greyhound/dog owner with experience or understanding on how to deal/help Rusty with his guarding tendencies. Rusty feels uncomfortable with anyone encroaching on his bedding area and he needs to be allowed to be left alone when on his bed, the kennel hands can advise you on the best way to make sure that Rusty's bedding area is his 'Safe Zone'.
Rusty is fully house trained, interacts well with other dogs when out and about, although would need to live as an only pet. He walks great on the lead, responds to his name and is OK with being left for 3hrs.
Rusty has not been tested with cats.
Rusty cannot live with children and would prefer no visting children.
